Bottom-pushing King

One boring Sunday morning, Paul and Albert were in the park and didn’t have anything to do. So Paul asked Albert, “How about playing bottom-pushing king?” “Bottom-pushing king? What’s that? How do you play it?” replied Albert. “First, let’s stand in a circle, back to back, and then we bump each other by our bottoms. The loser is the one who is pushed out from the circle,” explained Paul. “It sounds interesting. Let’s play it now!” said Albert.

As the game was Paul’s idea, so he knew the key to win. Thus, after losing at least ten times, Albert was not interested in the game anymore. “That’s not fun at all,” said Albert angrily. Paul heard this and said, “Oh, come on! Practice makes perfect. Don’t give up so easily, try harder, and you will be the bottom-pushing king someday!” “But my bottom hurts!” cried Albert, “I need to take a rest!” After saying this, Albert left Paul alone in the circle and went home.

So, Paul looked around and tried to find someone who would play with him. At that moment, he saw a new classmate named Joe walking nearby; he asked Joe, “Hello, Joe, do you want to play bottom-pushing king?” “Sure, of course. But I don’t know how.” said Joe. “Don’t worry, I will teach you how.” said Paul happily. Then, Paul explained the rules about the game to Joe. But this time, Paul was always being pushed out of the circle. It made Paul feel unhappy, he thought that it was “his game”, he should be the winner, and no one should beat him. Therefore, Paul pushed Joe down, and kicked his bottom then shouted, “I AM THE BOTTOM-PUSHING KING! THIS IS MY GAME, I AM NOT A LOSER! NEVER!”

Joe was frightened and ran home as fast as he could. But it was too late, the right part of his bottom swelled. Joe didn’t realize what Paul was doing to him, and that it was just a game, he shouldn’t take it so seriously. While Joe’s mom put medicine on his son’s bottom, she said, “People usually lose their minds when they are in bad moods, calm down before you make things worse, this is a very important thing you have learned today.”
