July 31 Playing RISK

July 31

Today I played a game called RISK. I will tell you how to play it.

1. There is one deck of cards in each place on the risk board. Each player will get the same number of cards.
2. Each player needs 30 men, and the players get the places shown on their cards. They place 1 man per place first, and they can place the men left over in whichever places they own.
3. The players decide the order of their turns.
4. They start to play. One person gets 3 men per turn. But if they take over a continent, they get more men. For example, if I get Africa, I get 3 more men per turn. You can put your men in any place you own.
5. You can attack people by putting more men in the place you attack from. (Attackers need to have one man stay at a place, so they need two men in the place to make attack) Attackers get 3 red dices, and defenders get 2 white dices. They can roll whatever number of dices. But if an attackers only have 2 men left in the places they attack from, they can only roll one dice. If the defenders only have one man left in that place they defend, they can only roll one dice.

Rules: If the attacker and the defender roll the dice and get the same number, the attacker loses one man. It it the attacker’s highest number versus the defender’s highest number, and the second versus the second. Whoever gets all the places on the RISK board wins.

At the RISK game we are playing now, I’ve taken over Europe, so I get 8 men per turn. I keep on defending myself, so I can pile up my men. My plan in RISK is to keep piling up my men so I can get as many men as possible. That way, I can make my biggest attack on Mr. D. because he has always been the winner. I hope I can win this time.
