(9) I still think of you as a little girl想念小女孩2003
我總是有興趣知道我心中的小女孩現在在做什麼? 我仍然把妳當做一個小女孩般地想念妳....
Dear Hsing-Yi,
I know it has been a little while since I have written to you. I want you to know I have not forgotten you. The reason it has been so long since my last letter is that I have been away on vacation.
I took my family on vacation, what you may call a holiday, to Maine. Maine is a state in the northeastern most part of the country. We stayed in a cabin by a lake. We went swimming a lot and fishing, too. It is nice to get away from all the noise and activity of normal life. The quiet is good for rebuilding my spirit.
I was reading in the newspaper how many people in Taiwan started an internet sales business. Most of them are reported to have made a lot of money at it. I was wondering if this is the type of business you had.
I am always interested in what ”my little girl” is doing. I hope you don’t mind I still think of you as my little girl. Of course, back when I was sponsoring you through Christians Children’s fund we both were a lot younger.
Write to me again sometime. I enjoy your letters.
Love you, always,
Tom
