From St. John to Halifax

Holger and I hitchhike to the south end of New Foundland, hopped on the ferry, rent a car for the famous scenic Cabot Trail (it’s so much easier than hitchhiking!) then drive directly to the capitol of Nova Scotia, Halifax. This is him (forced by me) posing for Hitler. Haha...oh, he’s a German btw.
Walking on the street and got stalked by me, a cute Scottish senior. "you look better than me in the Kilt" I said.
This is the famous Pier 21, all the immigrants come here to get inspection, paperwork, just like Stanley Island in New York. 1 millions passed through here, all from Europe, from 1920~1976.
Famous Alexander Keith Brewery, just like the old Guiness Warehous in Dublin, live theater presenting the history of how good old Keith made his beer perfect.
Big surprise - Halifax is the city closest to the shipwreck of Titanic!!! 115 unnamed bodies was buried in this cemetry. Jumped on a bus and didn’t notice the time, I arrived the cemetry when it’s dark, yet I wasn’t scared. AFter watching the documentary in the museum, all I felt is deep sorrow. When I found all those Titanic unnamed graves, I started crying. I couldn’t take any photo cuz I was too sad. You felt this great grief surrounding you when you entered the cementry.
Modern and ancient coexisist in Halifax.
Saying goodbye to Holger yesterday and began my REAL lonely journey once more. Travelling alone does strenthen one’s mind! Read a story of a English woman travel the world in a boat by herself and set the world record, I was so inspired. The reason taking this journey is to find myself again. I think I found her! :) Thanks Holger for the warm words and many other locals’ kindness on the trip. My trip goens on to PEI (Prince Edward Island) where Ann the Green Gable is then onto Quebec meeting up Mark my man!! I’ll try to keep logging of my trip. I can only read English most of time so please try to type Englsih when you response (hahah...I’m gonna lose audience!!)
