Fred Durst 在 94 年與 Sam Rivers( 貝斯 ) 、 Wes Borland( 吉他 ) 、 John Otto( 鼓 ) 等人組成 Limp Bizkit ，嘻哈樂團 House Of Pain 的大將 DJ Lethal 隨後在 95 年加入陣容。 97 年，以首張專輯 『 Three Dollar Bill, Y’all$ 三塊錢紙鈔全給你 』 衝上全美熱門潛力榜龍頭。 99 年，第 2 張專輯 『 Significant Other 傲然出眾 』 登場，首週空降排行冠軍，全美累積銷售突破 700 萬張，專輯連推 ”Re-Arranged” 、 ”Nookie” 等 2 首主流搖滾榜 TOP10 大作，樂團晉升為搖滾大團。 2000 年，阿湯哥欽點為電影「 MI2: 不可能的任務 2 」灌唱主題曲 ”Take A Look Around” ，同年 10 月，以專輯 『 Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water 混蛋與王八羔子 』 再度演出空降冠軍盛況，首週 105 萬 4511 張的銷售更刷新歷年搖滾類專輯的最佳首週銷貨紀錄，輯中單曲 ”Rollin’” 勇奪英國金榜冠軍，同時獲選為電影「玩命關頭」主題曲。 2003 年夏季， Limp Bizkit 與 Linkin Park 、 Metallica 展開 ’Summer Sanitarium Tour’ ，同年秋季發行專輯 『 Results May Vary 小心副作用 』 ，連推 ”Eat You Alive” 、 ”Behind Blue Eyes” 等 2 首英國金榜 TOP20 單曲。 2004 年 8 月，吉他手 Wes Borland 歸隊。 2005 年，樂團發行 EP 作品 『 The Unquestionable Truth, Part 1 真的假不了 』 。
