這首歌是由民謠詩人Don McLean (唐麥克林)於1971年所創作的經典名曲，講的是著名的荷蘭畫家-Vincent Van Gogh (文生梵谷)的故事。歌詞的第一句：Starry, starry night，便是引用梵谷的畫作「星夜」的名稱，歌曲中許多的歌詞也都是在描述梵谷畫中的景象。

　　據說這首「Vincent」更是在荷蘭阿姆斯特丹的梵谷紀念館中，長年不斷的播放著，以陪伴著梵谷和他不朽的畫作…。

　　會推薦這首歌的原因，是因為有一天半夜睡不著覺，再加上欠了一堆書債，於是就隨便拿了本書出來看，但若只看書又顯得太單調、太無聊，想放點音樂來聽，又怕嫌太吵，最後挑來挑去，發現了這首歌，聽著聽著發覺這首歌的旋律還蠻適合用來閱讀的，因為這旋律不會太高亢，也不會太悲情，只會讓人有放鬆的fu，於是從那時候開始，當我閱讀的時候，很自然的就會放這首歌出來聽。
