About food compost

It has been long since I got angry with WEI, even I cannot remember why I'm angry for him last time. Until this morning, when we were at breakfast, he chat with us and said “There is a food compose for children who cannot finish their lunch at school.” I suddenly realized someone has lied these few days, and somebody at school has always lied to their parents.

WEI is a good boy, I always thought the only problem of him is eating too few, especially comparing to other kids. You know, I remember that the first time when I saw the size of lunch boxes of other children, I feel a little bit sorry for WEI. "Why there is such a difference? Is that why they are all big, even girls...Well, I think I mean strong or tall here."
And I was just completely immersed in a beautiful image that he gave me, he finished all the food these few weeks. So, he can earn a delicious afternoon tea when he comes home. I could increase his food volume, step by step, day by day.
However, this good image was broken… until WEI told us every children threw their lunch away when they cannot finish them. Of course, we asked WEI did he do the same thing with the other kids, expectedly, the answer was YES. I just can't believe that he said " Mum..., but I'm good, I always throw only a little bit of food away, I am not like other kids, they discarded a lot." (Sure, because your lunch boxes are much smaller than others....@#$^!@#$%$#@!@#$%^&.....I almost yelled.) This kind of conversation with a mum always produces a series of sequelae. I know I should stop thinking about it, but I am unable to remember if he drank all of the lemon juice with honey these days, is that true? I asked him, I can feel he knew the words were so hard to come out from his mouth, but he told me “Yes, I pour the juice away.”.

It is tricky to teach a kid that the things everybody followed are wrong. I also know it sounds unfair to him, why the others can threw their food away but only he can't. But I have to teach him, isn’t it the meaning of education? “Don’t you think that it is too much of a waste?” I said. “Yeah” he said. “Do you know there are many children that are always hungry?” I said. “Yes, I know.” he said. “Can you do anything about it?” I said. “I thought these food can save them from hunger” he said. “Yes, you are right, that’s my boy.” I said.
