This one would be easy, I guess. I’m looking at this piece of paper. It’s white I know. Yet with the light of the lamp, it is actually yellowish now. I look at the part blocked by my hand, which therefore is illuminated by the gray sky. It appears to be blue. I look through the window screen: a cedar & the crossing lines of the window screen overlaid. (I’ve taken a photo with similar setting -- the light seems to spread out following the trace of those crossing lines.) The gray sky has lots of layers, from the lightest to medium hue. I guess it’s going to rain. Tom Thomson’s work, one of his untitled paintings. Autumn foliage: orange, yellow, warm hues go wild in the foreground; strokes go downward, rightward, south-west-ward. Fluidic sky and heavy mountain and thickly coloured lake lie in the background, blue & green, making a strong contrast with the autumn foliage. But a tonal harmony is achieved somehow. My CD player is playing the "Autumn Leaves", by Barbara Lea. With eyes closed, I can visualize the music: those gold & red leaves, the holding hands, the couple in embrace... images flowing in the darkness......
