The Cold Winter Night
The warmth of your soul
caresses my lonely night;
as your radiant light,
fills my coldest days.
It wraps me up
in a heavenly bliss;
that’s how I know,
it’s more than a tryst,
It’s a long walk,
out of this dark and lonely room,
into the heat that is forever you,
and a love that is true;
as the ice melts
and evaporates at your touch.
The flame begins to burn,
and sizzles so much;
I never felt the such,
a burning desire,
to feel your heat;
a burning ember,
at the tip of my heart.
With the last of the cold
melting away from me,
I shed these covers,
so I can be free;
to feel the wind
of your churning desire.
The night is no longer cold,
and you filled me with fire.
