The stars shine so bright in the night,
vast scattering across the universe,
leaving me in awe of the elements of the universe,
a small insignificant particle in a vast universe.

But unique for there is only one,
but when I'm with you
will I be out of my element?

Will I reach toward a star,
and then realize I may gaze upon it,
wish upon it, but never touch it,
for it's too distant, too far.

Are you that star,
as I reach for you
will I be out of my element?
