4 Ways to Feed Your Curiosity

Want a good dare?  How about a dare to be curious about yourself?  I think there is no better way to stay youthful and hungry for life than to be curious about yourself.  This idea of being curious about yourself is something that has been a recent point of conversation with clients of various backgrounds.  One of my long time clients even suggested that I write about it because she found the conversation personally inspiring.  So, this is it.

Travel

One of the reasons I love to travel so much is to feed my curiosity.  If you know me, you must know that my curiosity about the world is never satisfied.  This explains why I’m on an airplane today to visit my dearest mentor in her hometown.  I dare to be curious about the world, and specific places within it, because of the influence these places have on how we live.  It’s no wonder that I need regular trips to Paris so that I am one of the people you know who knows what’s happening in fashion and style.

Food

I also dare to be curious about food.  This is a statement that I know will make most people who know me laugh out loud.  Why?  Because there is so much food that I either cannot or will not eat, that it seems impossible to dare to be curious about food.  But I get the last laugh on this one.  I dare to be curious about food in a way that feeds my soul, not just my belly.  How and where our food is sourced, and how best to prepare a dish and then eat it with abandon, are all things that get my curiosity going.  Though I may not be as adventurous as many others, and many times restrict my diet to follow my religious beliefs, I’ve come to learn much about how to prepare and enjoy many foods that satisfy me on many levels.

Other People

I dare to be curious about other people.  This is a darned good thing because working with people is my calling and life’s work.  The more I learn about people, the better I’m able to serve them through my work and interests.  People fascinate me because we are complex creatures comprised of ideas, emotions, intelligence, and beliefs.  I love to study people like no one’s business, because it is my business.  But the reason why other people are the core focus of my work is because I dare to be curious, despite a history of being mistreated by many other people.  By standing in service to people, I write new chapters in my book of life that celebrates a desire to connect with and help others.

Yourself

I dare to be curious about myself, and you should dare to be curious about yourself too. Ultimately, thinking about who you are and who you dare to become makes life so much more fun! By having more fun, you reduce the level of fear that can come along with trying new things, taking risks, or stepping out of your comfort zone.  It’s one of the reasons why I find my interest in personal style to be so strong.  Having a way to express my inner essence is so important to my wellbeing.  You might consider the same as my clients, who dare to be curious about themselves, challenging their own status quo, and ultimately daring to be the best possible version of who they are.

Do you dare to be curious? What makes you dare to be curious? Would exploring that curiosity enhance your life?  Change your life?  Create fulfillment in your life?

Dare to be curious. And tell me what that does for you.

This company’s biggest asset is it’s personnel. They are all so motivated and productive.

I’m requesting a day of annual leave for personal reasons.

presentpresentationpresentate

I look forward to hearing from you.

I look forward to hear from you. look forward to  to

I need to go to our headquarters next week to meet the CEO.

He gave us several pieces of important information.
