Lillian works for a cool Taiwanese design company. They have sent her to a trade show in Frankfurt and she is working in their booth.

Dialogue 對話

Lillian: Good morning sir. Would you like to know something about our products?

Businessman: Well, I was just passing, but these units caught my eye.

Lillian: Those are our new angle-poise LED lighting systems.

Businessman: Yes, very interesting. They have a potentially iconic design.

Lillian: I’m glad you think so. The designers were inspired by European styles from the 1920s, but they have incorporated the latest technology.

Businessman: They were designed in Europe?

Lillian: Actually no. All our products are designed by our creative team in Taiwan.

Businessman: Really? Taiwan?

Lillian: That’s right. Taiwan is becoming well-known as a design hub in Asia. These lights have a unique patented energy saving design, and can be free-standing or wall mounted.

Businessman: Oh yes. What an innovative feature.

Lillian: All of our products provide practical solutions for modern lifestyles. Would you like to see more?

Businessman: I’m afraid I have a meeting in five minutes, but yes, I’d be very interested. I am the CEO of Euromax, the largest high-street retailer in Germany, and our buyers are always looking for new lines.

Lillian: Well, we’re in Germany for the next week. We’d be absolutely delighted to come in and deliver a pitch to your buyers on our whole range.

Businessman: Excellent. Let’s set it up. Let me give you my details…
