[英語新聞] 明年三月自來水取消基本費
Water is next on the list of things that are going up, with the Ministry of Economic Affairs saying that starting next March, water utility bills could go up 30 percent. That means an average household of four might have to pay an extra NT$75 to NT$90 per month.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs says it will decide next month whether to increase water utility rates 30 percent and whether to calculate basic fees differently. For an average four-person household, the average monthly water bill is currently around NT$250 to NT$300, and a price hike could add as much as NT$90. Meanwhile, authorities are considering removing the basic fee and replacing it with one that is based on usage-units on the water meter. If the new system is implemented, Taipei residents would pay a flat NT$68, while the rest of the Taiwan would pay NT$84.
As for users of natural gas, the new system will mirror that of the system currently in place for water utilities. The basic bi-monthly fee is based on usage units and ranges from NT$294 to NT$ 388, but starting next year, it will be calculated differently, and users will be charged a flat basic fee of NT$65 to NT$110 instead. It will not be deducted from their monthly bill. Meanwhile, the Consumers Foundation believes that the fairest system would involve scrapping basic fees altogether, regardless of how they're calculated, and simply charging users for their actual usage.
自來水費可能會在明年三月漲價了，調漲幅度大約三成，而實施七年的水價基本費，也可能一併取消，改採基本度數收費，以一家四口來算，以後每個月水費大約要增加七十五元到九十元。
經濟部將在下個月召開水價審議委員會，而明年新水價預計調漲三成及是否取消水價基本費改採基本度收費，將會是討論的重點，以一家四口每個月大約用水二十五度來算，每個月水費250至300元左右，漲三成之後，每個月要多繳個七十五至九十塊錢，而已經實施七年的水價基本費，因為有重覆計價的反彈，也可能會取消，改採基本度，若以基本度八度來算，台灣省及台北市每戶每個月仍要分別繳基本費84元或68元。
至於天然氣方面，為反應水價的調整，而亦有所變動，目前每月的基本費用介於294元到388元之間.但是從明年開始，計算方式將會有所不同，將會改採每個月65到110的基本費收費，而且是不能抵扣實際使用度數，從後年開始，不過消基會還是認為，民眾用多少算多少錢，才是最公正實在的算法。
