《美》我的演講稿
ELI Director, Student Advisers, My Dear Teachers and Classmates,
It’s my pleasure to share my experiences in the ELI with you all.
My name is Emily Wu, I come from Taiwan. I am a level 4 student. I have been in Pittsburgh for 3 months. When I first came here, I couldn’t understand what the teachers and classmates were saying. I was also scared of speaking English at that time. Our teachers always demanded us to speak English in class and reminded us not to speak Chinese. Nowadays, I have more courage to speak English.
I like the interaction between ELI teachers and students. Teachers always help us to solve the problems in our lives and our studies. Besides, I am so happy that I have made a lot of friends who are from other countries. I can learn about many different cultures and taste many types of food.
In addition, last term the ELI offered many activities for students, such as
a Washington D.C. trip, a zoo trip and TGIF. I had good time in those activities, thanks to the activity directors. I believe the ELI is going to have many interesting and exciting activities this term, so have fun !!
