The girl next to me

She smells nice

The light yellow shorts are her signature

with white knee highs

and a white blouse, fitted and tidy

I like crew socks instead

坐在我隔壁的那個女生聞起來香香的

她常穿鵝黃色短褲和白色透透的及膝襪

合身的小花邊上衣紮得整齊

我都穿搞笑圖案中筒襪

右腳鞋底還有一個洞

The girl next to me

She has long hair, straight, sleek

Her mom is a cold graceful lady in long pleated skirt

and prepares her fancy lunch box

I whine about my food to my family

Her strict dad who runs a photo studio donates money to school

The principal makes my parents feel sick　

坐我隔壁的那個女生

她有一頭柔順長直髮

她媽媽總穿著長裙看來優雅

常幫她準備厲害的便當

我只會抱怨我家的飯菜不太夠

他爸爸開了間(很貴的)照相館

學校捐錢名單都有他的名字

但我爸媽對校長很感冒

Teachers and boys love her

water her with flattering words

make others nerds 

just can breathe dirt

老師和同學都喜歡她

都會對她說好聽的話

其他人只有呆呆吃土的份

She looks naive and clean

I am not sure if she is the way she looks

I know she's kind of smart

A rumor is going around

She writes some letters to some boys not in our school

她看起來天真無邪

我覺得她應該比看起來還要聰明

她常常跟其他女生說我們不懂的悄悄話

據說她和校外的男生傳很多紙條

After the coming summer vacation

Everyone will study in new cities

On the last day at school

We signed everywhere and sent gifts  

暑假過後大家都要到別的地方讀書了

在畢業那天

每個人忙著到處簽名忙著送禮收禮

Flowers and cards were put on the girl's seat

She hugged her friends and some boys beside her

I couldn't count those drawings on my shirt

A bit satisfied also a bit uneasy about the ending

那女生桌上擺了一堆花和卡片

她一一地擁抱了身邊的人

我數不清我身上的塗鴉

這最後一天有點滿足有點不安

We all said goodbye at the gate

While I was walking and looking at the signs on my arm

Someone stuffed something into my hand

A figure was familiar to me in front

大家在校門口道別

當我邊走邊看著手上的簽名時

有人塞東西在我手裡

我抬頭看見熟悉的身影走在前面

That was her, the girl next to me

It said her numbers with a heart

and let's get to know each other better

when we are in the same school

坐我隔壁的女生

在紙條上面寫了她的電話號碼

她說希望我們能在同一個學校裡互相照應

還有一顆愛心

I had no idea how to reply at that moment 

The words made the unease double

New places are scary enough

Somebody help me, please?

我當下不知道怎麼回應

上新學校變得更難了
