After seeing beautiful rainbows in yesterday's morning and evening, I become more and more lucky, I believe. While walking up stairs for exercise tonight, surprisingly, the moon showed up and said Aloha to me as an old friend did.

Long time no see.

Maybe it's the reason for me to be surprised. The astonishing beauty somehow stopped me from exercising. I drank a bowl of the moonlight with my hands again and again, as thirsty as I have never drank before. My hands and whole body are in the moon-bathing; hence they were as shining as the mysterious universe.

It reminded me one of the memories in Angelica and Richard's home. In one evening, they unexpectedly called me out right after I finished a shower. Angelica wanted me to stand in front of their garden, where mint, rosemary, lavender, tomato, bok-choy and so forth are planted. Richard was standing there; his shape and the garden were so vague in the twilight. I groped my way towards him. When I got there, he murmured to me: there's a strong spiritual energy, right here, right now.

Maybe you're guessing: the energy was a bunch of moonlight. No. No light was bright but dim. Losing the support of vision, my sense of hearing and a sound in my brain became loud and clear. I eventually lost that moment because there were too many thoughts packed in my mind.

Therefore, I don't want to lose this moment any more. The mindfulness practice taught by Thich Nhat Hanh is an invitation of living at the present moment. It's just like my experiences of the moon-hike in Makapu'u, Hawaii. No matter how wandering I was on my way, the moments of meeting the moon, which shrouded the ocean, always required all my heart and soul.

Each encounter is a miracle thus is unique.

No matter I was happy or sad at the moments shared with you, it must be a blessing to meet you. Even though you, moon or the universe don't remember me, my sincere gratitude wouldn’t lessen at all. May I have the ability and chances to love you in return, with the love you planted in my heart…
