看醫生 做功課

今天看兩個醫生- 外科醫生追蹤檢查傷口, 家庭醫生看我的驗血和MRI報告.
花了很多時間等待, 都沒有得到什麼實質幫助, 當然給醫生看看知道傷口沒問題也很好, 不過十來分鐘四十大元, 還是保險以後的, 然後訂下次門診 -- 一年後再見
家庭醫生是我新找的, 好像我也沒聽出什麼重點來, 給了一堆止痛藥的免費樣品(如果關節痛), 開了一張去照甲狀腺超音波的處方 (檢查做不完)
雖然我也先看了些資料, 也想了些問題, 不過還是有點失望, 這次是二十大元
不知我是否太挑惕? 還是對醫生偶爾抱了不切實際的期望?
我想要的家庭醫生是不但能解讀報告還能指引個方向, 去看什麼專科, 或是特別運動或是飲食, 至少今天她覺得好像都不需要
好吧, 那麼至少不是什麼嚴重, 也很好囉!

I will have to say it depends on the doctor, some of them spend more time in listening or checking on you, but some really only browse you for few seconds!
my chemo dr always keep me wait for more than 1 hour but she spends more time with her patient, my radiation dr almost never keep me wait, but she only spends less than 5 minutes, sometime only 2 minutes then we are done.
But I think the doctor pays more attention to patient’s privacy in USA, in a single examine room, they even pulled the curtian up to separate my freind or my husband when they checked on me, I remember I saw a Chinese medicine doctor in Taiwan once, how many in the same room when he gave me diagonsis? The doctor, his assistant, me, my mom and the next patient and HIS FAMILY!
The experience was too shocking to me and I never want to go back to him!
I hope and I think this will be changed soon. no wonder my family or friend sometime avoid going to doctor.

他們的效率實在太差了
台灣醫生半天可以看四五十個病人
要是在美國可能三天都 ”消化” 不完
