10/6/05 Good Day
10/6/05
It was a good and fun day today.
My VP told the lady in the other office today when she visited there, so the lady called me.
She was very funny and easy, she made me feel more relaxed, we laughed a lot, but there is one thing makes me almost fall down to the ground...
I asked her how old she is? She said 45 and she was sick 3 years ago, then she talked about the surgery (lumpectomy removed 7cm lump and removed 8 lymph nodes, all clean) , the recovery (advise - don’t bother to cook), the chemo (some nausea), the radiation (really nothing), she said the time of treatment went so fast, she didn’t even realized it was over. She made fun while she was taking chemo, the doctors and nurses all thought she was funny..
What shocked me when she said while she was rest at home after chemo treatment, the grandchildren still wanted to play with her....
She was only 42 and has grandchildren!
Since my younger son is only 2 years older than her grandson, am I too behind the ”schedule” or what?
Anyway, her overall advise - don’t think too much, only focus on the caring for the children because they are the most important thing, so you will not have negative thoughts.
Proverbs 17:22 ”A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones”
