人生有大半時間都在不斷改寫歷史的steve jobs,美國時間10月5日去世了

一個月前看到一篇名為"賈伯斯的得與失"的文章,讓我思考許久

1976年, steve jobs和steve wozniak一同創立了apple

在這之後,因為一個又一個人生十字路口的不同抉擇

兩人有了完全不同的人生

jobs在2004年被診斷罹患胰臟癌

在2005年史丹佛大學的畢業典禮, jobs分享他生病後的體認

那時的他,身體仍虛弱,但氣色不錯

但接下來幾年,媒體捕捉到的jobs身影越來越瘦弱,氣色也越來越差

最後, jobs終究沒能戰勝病魔,在創造了無數奇蹟後,離開了這個世界

被暱稱為 "wizard of oz"的wozniak,在1981年搭乘私人飛機時出了意外

有好一陣子都不記得自己發生過空難,還以為每天都是週末所以沒去上班

這件大事,應該也讓他重新思考生命的意義

在1987年,wozniak從apple退休,到自家附近的小學當志工,出錢又出力

而wozniak官網上所公佈的人生哲學則是"Believes in encouraging free thinking and creativity for youngsters, counsel them against forces of conformity and drugs which leave them "not the master" of their fate. Loves children and dogs"

Virgil說"The greatest wealth is health."

如果當初jobs也選擇急流勇退,這個世界可能不會出現iphone, ipad這些劃時代的商品

他現在可能還健在,也還有機會含飴弄孫

但就如同robert frost在the road not taken裡寫的:

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

 人生不能倒帶,更不能砍掉重練

We are each the creator of our own destiny.
