碧雲天 黃葉地
秋色連波 波上寒煙翠
山映斜陽天接水
芳草無情 更在斜陽外
黯鄉魂 追旅思
夜夜除非 好夢留人睡
明月樓高休獨倚
酒入愁腸 化作相思淚

Blue-hued sky and yellow-leaved landscape,
This autumn scene reflects on waves,
with chilling mist above the waves tinted with green trees.
Mountains bath in the setting sun, sky joins with water,
And relentless grass streches far far away beyond the setting sun.
But my heart sinks in home sick thoughts,
Which makes me hardly sleep in nights unless in a good dream.
I should never have climbed up to such a high position so close to the moon, alone,
For the sorrow in me makes the wine I took to pour out in missing tears.
