The whole story about the burn injury
My leg was hurt by the exhaust pipe of the scooter last two weeks. Why I want to share this topic is because I think everyone can ever experience this kind of burn injury. Especially in summer, we often wear shorts, right? That my increase the potential to get hurt, so I wanna share my experience and give you some tips to know how to deal with it if you get hurt.
About two weeks ago, I was moving to the new room. I got packing and put some of my stuff on my scooter. Perhpas I didn't put it well, so the scooter lost its balance. Then I got hurt. At that time, I didn't cool it with water because I was outside of the room. About ten minutes later, the skin turned to grey. It really surprised me. You can imagine a piece of meat on a pan. If you can cook, you'll know how the meat changes its color. So, I went to the drugstore for help. The clerk covered burn cream with a pledget on my skin to release my pain. (pledget is a kind of flat cotton which can protect wound from anything bad). After a day, I got a blister, a very big blister. (blister is a kind of bubble on the skin, when you got burnt, the skin will get a blister, which full of liquid). It is so big that when I'm walking, I can even feel it flowing. Because the skin is so severe, I went to see a doctor. I got answer from the doctor because before going to the hospital, I've looked for information about the burn on the internet. And I found some information on the internet is not quite right. Therefore, I'm going to provide some tips that can help you make it clear.
1) If you've got burnt, you must got cool water on the burn as soon as possible. Do not cool it with icy water or ice cubes because that would cause further damage to your skin.
2) Then, cover the burn area with burn cream and take a rest for a while.
3) Few days later, you'll get a blister. Don't burst it. Keep it clean and dress it with cream to avoid infection until it's fully healed.
4) Finally, don't forget to see a doctor to make sure it doesn't get infected.
