Housewarming gift from Bombay

Not that I was immoral or greedy, but when i was offered a free $150 painting from Bombay why not?
What happened was, I bought this painting 2 wks ago, but they had to ship from another store, so they told me to come pick up on the wknd. I went on the wknd and found out the painting was too big to fit into my car, so i told them i'd pick up next time.
Then Tim helped me pick it up one night, it was drizzling and dark, and the warehouse boy didn't have me sign off.
Yesterday Bombay called again and asked me if I still wanted the painting. I hesitated a bit, struggling between morality and money, i told them I decided to pass on the painting. They refunded me the money, while the painting has been sitting at my new house for a week:-)
heehee......but compared to Wayne's $2000 free sofa set, this is just a drop in the bucket. Same situation, they even tried to deliver another set. He told them to hold on to the sofas cuz he didn't want them anymore, truth is, he didn't have space to put them, haha..
Dave took me to Zibbibo last nite to celebrate our one-wk official and his new contracting project as side job which pays $150 an hour.
The more I know about him, those traumatic life events he's been thru in the past two years, the more i feel like protecting him. Though I know he's strong enuf to deal with trauma if happened. I guess this is my mother instinct, yet i'm not sure if i'm capable of handling too much emotional part on my side if overflooded. Hope the differences and similarities between us could only bring us closer and closer.
But i think the first and foremost is to get used to British accent, i have to admist it does give me headache sometimes......
