Alice is officially becoming a home owner after 30 days COE!

So, everything goes back to a little over a week ago, after shopping for a property for 2 months and no luck, I stumbled into this cute 3br,2bath condominium in North Valley, 10 minutes away from work. I was eyeing on the downstairs 2br/2bath with nice hardwood floor finish and all decent appliances included, unfortunately there were 5 other offerings queued up and sold! Too bad, then this upstairs condo came up for a reasonable listing price but it's 3br, not really my desired target, but I went to take a look at it anyway. Turned out, I LIKED IT. 1125 Sq. Ft, end unit and upstairs, two pools, clubhouse and greenbelt in the public amenity, but the house does need some work done around such as, wood floor, appliance, bathroom and deck, that's about it. I made my best offer and within 12 hours, I owned it!!!!! I was much more pumped up than when I got the other 2br condo on Tradan Dr.

So, I spent all weekend looking for appliances, went to HomeDepot, Ikea, BestBuy and Fry's in a day. When single girl shops at appliance and floor department, the experience can't be more infuriating. This nice Romanian lady, supposedly sales manager at HomeDepot was trying to assist me with my question mark, so she asked "so, you live with ur family?" "NO", "kids?" "NO", "husband?" "NO", "boyfriend??" "NO", "oh, single??" "YES!!!" we finally reach some common ground, I wondered how's that important about my household status? was that she needed to find out how big of a washer/dryer I need for the household? or was there another potentially influencial decision maker behind my question??? dude, usually, WIFE is the one that makes the decision!

But seriously, I didn't see any single person especially a girl shopping at these stores. Who would expect a girl to figure out how much a sq. ft. of Pergo wood material cost? and how you should remodel ur bathroom? and what dimension of the appliances you should get??

But It's super fun learning all that, it only validates again that women don't always need a men to survivie. Call your handy man to fix the toilet leaking or kitchen sink for $45 each visit, call your HOA office to fix the deck or stairs, really, ur guy friends may not seem to be so handy anymore!

Oh, there was this other incident that would light up any of my boring and silly gfs' day. So Saturday afternoon, between a visit to floor company and dental appointment, I managed to make it to this appliance store in downtown Mt. View, also tried to pick up some lunch at Queen House-- my weekend favorite ritual. So, soon after I parked the car, stepped out, looked around and just started to think I was safe, this unusual S4 convertible dark gray parked right across the street. Well, who would be the 2nd one in Mt. View to own that car. I thought! that owner would not leave his baby unattended for too long, that also means I gotta complete my mission quick and fast. In and out of Meyer's Appliance store then I'm gone.

Unfortunately, right after I crossed the street, I identified the target that i was trying to avoid sitting outside of the store talking on the phone, 5 feet away from me. I turned immediately w/o thinking, and took off sprinting until I realized I was totally going the opposite direction. "what the heck am I doing?" "okay, I am going to take a detour to make it to the appliance store!" I spent as much time as I could at the store, finally decided it was long enuf, i carefully opened the door and looked around, safe. I crossed the street really fast to get my lunch, and on my only way back to the car, the ROAD BLOCK was right there again!!!! Okay, I sat myself down outside of the bookstore, picked up my phone to talk to my agent, hoping that by the time i finished the phone, the target would disappear.

I hid, turned, and ran, what an idoit!!!!
