Fresh powder and snowboarding.

After 30 phone calls I made to 5 of my crew, we finally got our ski trip schedule nailed. It was going to be a pretty good day to ski or snowboard becuz we got a "severe weather condition" forecast. 4 hours later we got to SierraTahoe and the heavy rain turned into snow as elevation arised. I decided to try snowboarding for the first time despite all the difficulties said about it. I went ahead and purchased a 2-hour snowboard lesson, but ended up jumping on the slope after staying for only 20 minutes lesson. I was born athlete, and since I used to skateboard a lot at home when i was a kid, and annoyed my parents the hell of it, I got a very good hang on it very quickly.:) This was quite surprisingly to myself as well, as said beginners usually struggle a lot trying snowboard. I hardly fell, and when I know I'm about to fall, I am capable of minimizing the impact on my butt!! But I do need to get a pair of wrist guard though.
While i was having too much fun on the groove, they were closing the resort which was a big bummer. Then we had to hit the traffic along with cars coming out from Heavenly resort.. 6 hours later we finally got home.
This morning I woke up feeling paralyzed, my whole body was sore all the way from neck to toe. I had to put all the parts together and drag myself outta the bed to go brunch with Christina and Dimitris @ Queen House. Dimitris was stoned still so just Chris and I went to brunch, we ordered a bunch of our favorite dishes and sat around chatted for a long time. I then went kicking at their place for another couple hours and had an interesting conversation with them....of course, extremely x-dated.
Leaving for Chicago in a couple days, I'm quite concerned about the weather condition. I really look forward to getting the most out of this trip, in terms of sightseeing and physical fulfillment. After all, I really don't plan on visiting Chicago much in the winter.....'
