流行樂壇的柴可夫斯基--隨筆談Sting
出社會這兩年，從事的工作都和流行音樂有很大的關西。不論是以前在電台工作還是現在的唱片公司，每天都至少聽超過5小時以上的音樂。音樂是愈聽愈厲害啦(驕傲狀)，聽市場性、聽編曲、聽曲風、聽錄音品質、聽vocal、聽每把樂器的水準、聽EQ、聽MASTERING。但長期下來再怎麼熱愛音樂，或多或少都有點疲態。所以每次只要有一有這種感覺，我就會找出一些曾經讓我觸電的東西，重新替自己充電後再出發。像這兩天只要下班回到家，我就會放Sting的音樂。聽著聽著就會有人生真是美好的悸動。在晚間11點美國網球公開賽開播前的幾小時，都是Sting伴我度過。
我一直覺得聽Sting是一門很大的學問。以我個人為例，我不喜歡一口氣聽完Sting整張專輯(雖然我每張都有)，我習慣把自己喜歡的單曲挑出來，然後作成一張精選反覆聆聽。原因無他，因為我無法在很Relax的心情下享受Sting一張專輯成品。每每他所想探討的議題，或是將英文最美的部分發揮到極致的優美歌詞，都會讓我覺得如果不拿著歌詞端莊賢淑的坐在音響旁邊仔細欣賞，是對他的一種不敬。所以我喜歡聽自己挑的Sting。對我而言這是比較輕鬆的方式，可以讓我盡情享受Sting渾然天成的美妙音符。
Sting的旋律如果美起來，那真的是一種境界，會讓人感受到如至仙境的夢幻。以我最愛的三首歌”When We Dance”、” Fields of Gold”以及”They Dance Alone”來說，從我五年前第一次聽到現在，大概已經聽了不下千遍了吧。雖然這麼說很噁心、老套，但我每次聽都好感動。我經常開玩笑 ”如果你哪天想要自殺，請先聽聽Sting的Fields of Gold，你將會發現其實這個世界還有很多東西值得留戀。” 我認為如果音樂創作者一生中能寫出一首這樣的旋律，真的就不枉此生了。
關於Sting，小弟我也只能胡無言亂語一番,千萬不要要求我寫什麼深入淺出的研究文。如果各位想更了解Sting,請洽這位大哥
