在聖地牙哥除了世界知名聖地牙哥動物園及海洋世界外,還有一個非去不可的地方Balboa Park,這個公園,位於市中心北區,占地1,200英畝(500台甲)的綜合性公園,媲美紐約的中央公園.擁有15座博物館及著名的San Diego Zoo\美術館\博物館\劇場\餐廳以及娛樂健身設施等,是聖地牙哥的娛樂文化活動中心.得花上一整天的時間才能[走]完整個公園,如果想要仔細逛遍每個博物館及整個公園,我想大約要3~5天的時間.

1868年時聖地牙哥政府,將這土地規劃公園預定地,當時只有1000戶人家的小城,1910年公園建成,現今公園內許多華麗的博物館建築,均是1915年巴拿馬加州博覽會,舉行時所留下的,雖然緊臨繁忙的五號高速公路,園內卻聽不見車水馬龍的噪音.在周日,世界最大（Spreckels Organ Pavilion）由3500根鋼管組成管風琴露天音樂會定時舉行.圖中是San Diego Museum of Man.
