We, Two

We, two, cluck chickens.
We are the timid twins.
We force ourselves to stick in the calmness
When compliments come.
But we blush,
And get uneasy,
And a bit complacent.

Someday,
We’ll come to the agreement
When compliments come.
We’ll dare
Say to ourselves,
“Yes, I am what you said.”
Then.

Maybe,
We’ll see how bright we are
And be chuckling—

We, two, cluck chickens.
