我肉腳, 所以對很多爭議性的話題都不敢公開表示自己的意見, 也因為這樣, 我特別崇拜那些敢做敢說, 不僅不怕被丟水杯而且越挫越勇的人
2003年當美國決定出兵伊拉克時, 鄉村女子團體Dixie Chicks的主唱納塔麗在他們英國的演唱會說"我們對身為同是德州人的總統感到羞愧"("Just so you know, we’re ashamed that the president of the United States is from Texas.")引起美國的軒然大波. 廣播把她們的歌從曲目中抽出、保守團體發動拒買她們專輯的杯葛、演唱會票房從此大受影響, 如日中天的女子團體頓時成為眾人之矢.
這首在事發三年後推出的Not Ready to Make Nice等於是她們對這一路風風雨雨的回應, 今天為他們奪下葛萊美年度之歌的大獎.
如果說這三年間的風雨是支持布希那百分之五十的美國對她們的懲罰, 這個獎, 可以說是支持言論自由及反戰的另一半美國對她們的肯定...
