Back-of-House Coordinator
Period:
Contract full-time from 15 September 2014 – 13 February 2015
Depending on the applicant’s availability, the duration is negotiable
Job Desceiption:
Update the Delivery Manual
Together with Marina Bay Sands, schedule all deliveries to ensure smooth movement of vehicles, goods and artworks within the exhibition halls
Supervise auxiliary security guards and venue personnel in ensuring the fair’s general security
Ensure all vendors, shippers and exhibitors adhere to the fair’s operational guidelines, schedule as well as health and safety rules
Coordinate certain logistics for the fair including, but not limited, to ground transport, walkie-talkies, storage space, cleaning, CCTV, internet, etc.
Assist in organising fair-related events within Marina Bay Sands
Assist in other aspects of the Show Management department as whenever necessary
Requirements:
Minimum GCE ‘A’ Level, Diploma or International Baccalaureate
Minimum 1-year professional work experience, preferably in arts/events management, logistics/freight forwarding or supply chain
Demonstrate meticulous attention in handling high-value goods; experience in coordinating artwork shipments would be a great advantage
Strong command of written and spoken English
An efficient resourceful worker within a dynamic work environment
Intern / Volunteer
We are looking for interns to assist us from now till February 2015. Various positions are available in the VIP Relations & Partnerships, Exhibitor Management and Marketing & Communications departments.
