Ellen: A little. Sam said he’s going to take me to a really nice restaurant tonight. And that he has a big surprise for me.

Sheri: Wow, our Ellen is going to be a bride! How exciting!

Ellen: He didn’t say. But later I called the coffee shop where he usually writes. And the person who answered the phone said Sam went to see Linda!

Brian: (quickly stands up) Well, I, uh…

Ellen: At least someone is proposing to me! And I don’t want to be your girlfriend anymore, Sam. I know about Linda.

Sheri: Who’s Linda?

Brian: Uh, Sheri, Jackie, let’s have that meeting now. In my office.
(Brian, Jackie and Sheri go into Brian’s office.)

Ellen: Sam, I think you should go now.

Sam: (open the ring box) I was going to give you this ring last night, but the diamond fell out

Pets Are Living in the Lap of Luxury寵物的幸福生活
Although birthrates are decreasing in Taiwan, pet ownership is on the rise. Nowadays, pets are considered members of the family and are pampered like babies. Just looking at the two most popular pets, dogs and cats, it is not difficult to find evidence of their luxurious lifestyle.
Not only is a wide variety of food and health supplements available to pets, but many pets also sleep more comfortably than humans. Pet mattresses are now designed to look like little beds for royalty, luxurious tents, and even fruit! You also no longer need to keep an eye on their food bowls. Timed feeders can automatically provide food for your pet at mealtimes.
Many owners like to dress up their dogs and cats, and the pet industry has responded. From sportswear to punk outfits, pet clothes can be tailored for a perfect fit. If you end up buying your dog an outfit for every occasion, there are even wardrobes especially for pet clothes.
Many claim that pet owners today lavish too much time and money on their pets. From the owners’ perspective, though, no effort is too great to give their pets a happy life.
雖然在台灣出生率逐年降低，不過養寵物的人越來越多了。如今寵物被視為家中的一份子，還被當成寶貝來伺候呢！只要看看最受歡迎的兩種寵物──狗狗和貓咪，發現牠們奢華生活模式的證據並不難唷。
現代寵物不僅有琳瑯滿目的食物及營養補給品，而且許多寵物睡覺的地方比人的還舒適。現在的寵物睡墊被設計成皇室風的小床、豪華的帳蓬、甚至有水果造型呢！你也不需要再隨時注意寵物的飼料碗。定時餵食器在吃飯時間會自動替寵物添飼料。
