第一條:
本社團全名為佛光大學英語研習社(English Club),以下簡稱本社團。

第二條:
本社團宗旨在以提供一個以「實際應用英語能力」的聚會環境,讓所有參與的同學們能在此「英語實作」的過程中,逐步提升自己的英語應用能力,以促進校園學習英語的環境。

第三條:
本社團團址設於宜蘭縣佛光大學英語研習社團團部。(暫設於永東師父的研究室B302-4)

第四條:
凡本校學生、教職員及畢業校友對於英語研習有興趣者,皆歡迎參加。

第五條:
本社團之會員權利如下:
一、 在所有社團會議中享有發言權、提案權、表決權。
二、 所有會員成員們皆擁有選舉權、被選舉權及罷免權。
三、 本社團會員們將優先被推薦參加校內或校外有關於英語應用的各種活動。
四、 本社團會員們皆有提出關於團務改革意見之權利。
五、 其它可享有之權利。

第六條:
一、 遵守本社團之章程。
二、 按時繳納會員費用。
三、 出席會員聚會。
四、 維護社團名譽。
五、 全力配合社團會務之推動及拓展。
六、 不可作出傷害社團之行為,如毁謗。
七、 其它應盡之義務。

第七條:
如有以下情況者,將喪失會員資格:
一、 學籍喪失(退學、休學)者。
二、 其行為表現不良者,經會員們開會表決、社團指導老師許可後,始成立。

第八條:
本社團置社團負責人一名、副社團負責人一名、活動長一名、文宣長一名、財務長一名、總務長一名、公關一名、指導老師一名(幹部組織之成員可按社團發展狀況而彈性調整)。

第九條:
一、 本社團幹部由會員們從會員大會中選出。
二、 每學年下學期末舉辦幹部改選。
三、 社團幹部任期一年,可連任一次。

第十條:
本社團會員,對於失職幹部、且有具體事實者的罷免案,應先提交幹部會議中經半數通過,再經會員大會投票過半數,最後由社團指導老師許可,始可罷免。

第十一條:
社團負責人之主要職責如下:
一、 招收社團會員及促進會員間的和諧。
二、 規劃及推展社團活動。
三、 召集及主持社團會議。
四、 出席社團負責人之聯席會議。
五、 社團其它重要事項之處理。
六、 社團指導老師之聘請。

第十二條:
副社團負責人之主要職責如下:
一、 協助社團負責人經營社團運作。
二、 若有需求時則代理社團負責人職務。

第十三條:
活動長之主要職責如下:
一、社團各項活動的策劃及執行。

第十四條:
文宣長之主要職責如下:
一、 社團網頁管理。
二、 社團活動文宣、報導及資料建檔。
三、 社團會議記錄及建檔。
四、 協助其他組別相關文件的設計、製作。

第十五條:
財務長之主要職責如下:
一、 負責社團財務管理。
二、 公告社團財務收支狀況(每月於幹部會議上口頭報告一次,每期末會員大會公告一次)。
三、 代收社團會員會費。
四、 社團籌款。
五、 社團費用的收支得在幹部會議決議後才能執行。

第十六條:
總務長之主要職責如下:
一、 場地借用、佈置及善後。
二、 器材借用、提供及歸還。
三、 活動期間茶點之準備。

第十七條:
公關長之主要職責如下:
一、 活動前後對外之聯繫。
二、 活動接待。
三、 活動校內外通知、聯絡。
四、 建立及整合會員、外賓及校外相關社團之通訊錄。
五、 蒐集並提供校內外與本社團活動相關之資訊。

第十八條:
本社團章程之通過,得經由社團成立大會所有會員,針對逐條章程討論無異議後,始成立。本社團章程之修正,則由社團會員於會員大會中提出,表決無異議後,始通過。

第十九條:
本社團得於每學期初向其會員們收取會費新台幣100元整,以做為社務費用支出。

第二十條:
本社團決議皆由會員大會產生,並依據本校之學生課外活動輔導辦法之規定,每學期至少召開一次會員大會,並於每學年期末召開社團幹部改選會議。

第二十一條:
本社團最高決議機構由會員大會表決,採多數決來達成決議。

The Constitution of the Fo Guang Unviersity English Club

Article 1
The club shall be known as the Fo Guang University English Club, hereinafter referred to as the Club.

Article 2
The goal of the Club is to provide a venue in which participants can improve their ability in the use of English through actual practice, so as to promote an English learning atmosphere on campus.

Article 3
The official address of the Club is the Fo Guang University English Club Headquarters in Yi Lan County (temporarily in B302-4, office of Ven. Yung Dong).

Article 4
All students, staff members as well as graduates of the University interested in the study of English are eligible for membership.

Article 5
Rights of Club members:
1. To speak, propose and vote at meetings of the Club.
2. To elected, be elected and to recalled.
3. Club members enjoy a priority of nomination for participation in various activities
relating to the use of English, whether within or outside of the campus.
4. To propose means to improve the Club.
5. Any other eligible rights.

Article 6
Duties of Club members:
1. To be abide by the constitution of the Club.
2. To pay up membership fees when due.
3. To be present at member gatherings.
4. To uphold the Club’s good name.
5. To do their best in helping to promote and develop the Club.
6. To do nothing that may hurt the Club, for example, slander against the Club.
7. Any other obligatory duties.

Article 7
Membership will be lost in the following circumstances:
1. Loss of studentship, such as dropping out of or leaving the University.
2. Showing bad conduct and behaviour, as confirmed by a resolution of members
and as agreed by the Guiding Teacher of the Club.

Article 8
The Club shall have 1 Club Director, 1 Deputy Club Director, 1 Activities Officer, 1 Documentation and Publicity Officer, 1 Finance Officer, 1 General Affairs Officer, 1 Public Relations Officer, and 1 Guiding Teacher (the organization of the officer structure shall be adjusted with flexibility in accordance with the development of the Club).

Article 9
1. All officers of the Club shall be elected amongst Club members in the general
assembly.
2. Officers shall be elected at the end of the 2nd Term of the school year.
3. Office-bearers of the Club shall hold office for 1 year, and be eligible for 1 extra
term upon re-election.

Article 10
Officers of the Club, found and confirmed to be derelict in their duties, shall be recalled by Club members, but only after a recall proposal is passed by a majority at the officer-bearers’ meeting as well as by a majority vote of the general assembly and with the agreement of the Club’s Guiding Teacher.

Article 11
The main duties of the Club Director shall be as follows:
1. To recruit members and promote harmonious relations among members.
2. To plan and promote activities of the Club.
3. To convene and chair meetings of the Club.
4. To attend joint meetings of club directors.
5. To handle other important affairs of the Club.
6. To appoint the Club’s Guiding Teacher.

Article 12
The main duties of the Deputy Club Director shall be as follows:
1. To assist the Club Director in the operation of the Club.
2. To act on behalf of the Club Director when the need arises.

Article 13
The main duties of the Activities Officer shall be as follows:
1. To organize and implement the various activities of the Club.

Articles 14
The main duties of the Documentation and Publicity Officer shall be as follows:
1. To manage the website of the Club.
2. To publicize, report on and maintain records of Club activities.
3. To maintain records of Club meetings.
4. To assist other sections in the design and production of relevant documents.

Article 15
The main duties of the Financial Officer shall be as follows:
1. To manage the finance of the Club.
2. To publish financial statements of the Club (once a month orally at the Officers’
meeting, and once at the general assembly at the end of the term of office).
3. To collect membership fees.
4. To raise funds for the Club.
5. Any receipt or spending of Club funds shall be effected after a resolution of the
Office-bearers’ meeting.

Article 16
The main duties of the General Affairs Officer shall be as follows:
1. To acquire and fit out venues for activities and their reinstatement after use.
2. To borrow, provide and return equipment required.
3. To prepare refreshments during activities.

Article 17
The main duties of the Public Relations Officer shall be as follows:
1. External liaison before and after Club activities.
2. Reception at activities.
3. To serve notices and make contacts within and outside of campus in relation to
Club activities.
4. To build and maintain a mailing list of Club members, guests and relevant
organizations outside of campus.
5. To collect and supply relevant information within and outside of campus
pertaining to Club activities.

Article 18
The adoption of the constitution of the Club shall be effective after each article therein has been subjected to discussion and subsequently agreed by all members at the inaugural meeting of the Club. Any amendment to the constitution shall be made after it is proposed by a member at a general assembly and approved by a resolution.

Article 19
The Club shall collect NT$100 from each Club member at the beginning of a school year to cover the expenses incurred in the operation of the Club.

Article 20
All resolutions of the Club shall be adopted at general assemblies. According to the stipulation of the University’s guide to student extracurricular activities, at least one general assembly shall be convened each school term, and a meeting shall also be convened at the end of the school year for the election of new office-bearers.

Article 21
The highest decision-making authority of the Club is the general assembly. Resolutions are adopted by a majority vote.
