(by Aly McDonnell (Oct 17, 2009)

La Loba,

記住妳;

La Que Sabe,

PRAYER TO LA QUE SABE (SHE WHO KNOWS)
(by Aly McDonnell (Oct 17, 2009)

with grateful thanks to Clarissa Pinkola Estes

Draw near,
Whisper your old, old names
into my ear

the ones I have almost forgotten

The ones that sound

Like the rushing of the river
and the soughing of the wind through the trees
Or like the almost silent moving
of a lizard
over the warm desert rocks...

Or, if need be, howl with all your heart at the moon
La Loba, Wolf Woman
Drum your drums
that I might hear you
and remember;
that I might find my way
through the deep woody night, into the clearing
where my feet know their rhythm
and my hips know their sway
and my thirst knows the place
where the cool water bubbles and flows
Sing me home
La Que Sabe
to the place of my belonging
that I might learn
to hear the sound
of my own voice.
