My Dream?

Went to a very interesting job interview last week.

The interviewer said he had a very special question to ask me and would like to save the question to the last.

"What is your dream?"

My dream? Wow...... I haven’t thought about it for years.

I thought about it, and said, " I want to live a happy life."

According to my mom, that’s such a silly answer. I should have said, " I want to be successful at work" or " I want to help my fella Chinese community" or whatever the boss likes to hear in general.

Well, I guess I am just too stupidly honest, or just honestly stupid. I just won’t see myself say such words. I’d rather be saying, " My dream is not to work for money." But I guess it will just blow up the whole interview.

Wants and dreams. They cannot be linked, afterall. I dream of living in a big bright mansion with lots of greens, reading my favorite books and magazines everyday, sleep 8 hours a day and have a stable job that offers me high salary. I want to find a better job. That’s the differences, you see.

Wants are ever adjustable, or I will be in my dreams forever.
