Yoga Lessons

Today was my third time to attend Yoga lessons.

I was invited by my friend's friend, since her friend (3rd degree friend, that is) wasn't able to use her Yoga lesson tickets which would expire today, so I was luckily asked to attend for free.

Free lessons three times in a row! Not bad indeed.

But the best thing was I really learned a lot from the lessons.

Like most people who have never tried Yoga, I asked my friend whether she could do the feet-over-head posture.

"Yes, I can, but it's MY feet over YOUR head," she replied and laughed.

Yes, I was that ignorant about Yoga at first. But after several lessons, I am beginning to love Yoga. It's painful, lots of sweat, lots of concentration, but essential for lazy people like me. Yoga is about breathing, about knowing oneself. Unlike other sports, Yoga is not towards perfection (although ideally, we are expected to do posture perfectly after certain years), instead, it's more about moderation. Moderation!! An art of living.

At first I expected lots of changes and improvements, but I guess Yoga is a gradual way to proceed. So far, I found myself sleep better and breathe better. Not bad right?

Today I also attended my first Yoga Dance lesson. The teacher was really funny. Every time he danced, he was smiling!! I felt the happiness of dancing, even though my steps and postures sucked. ^__^;;;
