Beijing

Back to my high school days, I wasn't very interested in Chinese History lessons. Reasons? Too long! Too complicated! Now I realize one more reason: I never saw myself related to any slice of the thick, dusted Chinese History textbooks.

Last week I visited Beijing with my parents. For the first time in my life, I was able to walk through the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao and Tienanmen. Whenever I reached one of these great places, I was both surprised and full of doubt, as I wasn't quite believe my luck in being able to see all these in my life. For many Chinese people, this chance is too nice to be true. I was very grateful to be one of the lucky ones.

Lots of feeling, lots of memories, lots of thinking......
