Lonely
When you went away, dear,
You promised that you’d write
And I thought that you would be true
But I find the mail-box
Is empty day and night
As empty as that arms that held you.
I walk in the rain down
The lane we know so well
Where we strolled together for years.
Then my cheeks are wet
And it’s hard for me to tell
Rain drops are falling or tears.

When night begins to fall,
And my heart recalls memories.
From outside my window

可是我望著門上的郵箱，
早早晚晚都空著，
就像我兩個手臂一樣。
我獨自在雨中走著，
走向我們熟悉的小巷，
想起多少年來我們曾在這裡散步，
我的兩頰潮潤，
叫我難以分清，
掉下來的是雨滴？還是淚珠？
當夜幕開始低垂，

想起往事重重，
