Supervisory Council in Taiwan should be abolished

The Supervisory Council (Control Yuan) in Taiwan should be abolished. Supervisory power should be implemented by the Legislative Yuan. When the legislators exercise their supervisory power, the jury must decide whether to punish officials. The punishment will involve huge fines, which must be paid by the illegal and negligent officials. If the constitution cannot be amended and repealed, the supervisory committee should be directly elected by the people in the same way as the legislators, and propaganda and campaign should not be allowed. When the supervisory committee exercises the power of supervision, the jury decides whether to punish officials. It is not a few supervisory committee members who can decide. Penalties also require huge fines, which must be paid by officials who violate the law and neglect their duties.

The Supervisory Council (Control Yuan) is sorry for the ideals of the five-power constitution of Sun Yat-Sen, the Father of the country. In 1949, the National Government was defeated, losing the hearts and minds of the mainland people and retreating to Taiwan. The National Government still does not remember the painful lessons. Corruption, collusion between officials and businessmen, no one can control the prosecutor’s failure to prosecute or termination of a case, no one can control the judge’s violation of the law, and no one can control the supervision committee. The supervision committee protects illegal officials. The supervision committee does not serve the people in accordance with the law. The rights and interests of the people of Taiwan cannot be guaranteed, and the people of Taiwan cannot claim their grievances. Taiwan society is lawless, and the people seek to avoid danger themselves.
