We went back the Dr. Office today and he had his 2 pins removed.  I did ask the nurse to save the pins.  She replied that they are too sharp so they need to throw away.  When we got into the exam room, the nurse explained to my son that she will first cut the cast open by using a saw and she tested on her own hand that it won't feel hurt so my son trusted her.  She cut down the cast and used a tool to break it up just like opening a peanut.  While she opened two sides that cast got off.  The first time for a long time I haven’t seen his left arm.  The nurse has clean the cotton off and talking about it looked like werewolf and sounded really interesting.  While she cut the cast, she had my son to put the safety glass on so he can watch her.  I saw the 2 pins were out of his skin and the nurse tried to get them off by pulling.  Normally it may take 15 minutes for her to get them off.  Then the pins were too sharp so the doctor got the tool for her to pull.  Then, the nurse turned the tool back to Dr. for him to pull himself.  While he tried to pull out, the blood was blasting out.  My son was still watching it and he did not cry.  My husband and I were so worried that he might feel hurt and cry.  My brave son did not cry at all and just said OUCH!  Later, the nurse was telling my son that she did not get the red cast in but the other nurse found the glowing one instead.  It does glow in the dark little green color.  It is really cool later we went to the bathroom to check it out.  My son was smiling the nurse said.  Finally after they finish putting new cast on, we were ready to go home!  My son was really brave that he watched it the whole time and never cried.  He is really a big boy now!
