1978，加拿大女歌手Anne Murray發行了她的第14張錄音室專輯《Let's Keep It That Way》，此專輯在美國鄉村榜奪得第2名，在流行榜亦拿下第12名 ( 為Murray在該專輯榜上之最高排名 )，銷售量超過100萬張，獲得了白金唱片的認證。成績不僅如此，專輯中另釋出的單曲《You Needed Me》，在告示牌熱門百強排行榜榮登冠軍寶座，也為她贏得了一座年度「最佳流行女歌手」的葛萊美獎。

有點奇怪的是，此首與專輯同名的歌曲，理應是主打歌曲，但卻未另發行單曲，或許與女歌手Tanya Tucker錄製在先 ( 收錄於1977發行的專輯中 ) 有關？之後又有多位歌手翻唱，如Juice Newton ( 1979 / # 37 )、法蘭克辛納屈的女兒Nancy Sinatra ( 1980 )、Mac Davis ( 1980 / # 10 )等。歌曲述說的是，一對非情侶的男女，想像是在燈光美、氣氛佳的晚餐場景，忽然感覺到相互吸引 ( 來電啦！)，縱使慾火焚身，但為了不欺瞞有負尚在家中的另一半，理智性的就此打住，讓倆人的關係就保持在這樣吧！

Anne Murray的聲音可以是鄉村、也可以是流行樂，《環球郵報》評論道：Murray需要一位合適的製作人，一位懂得如何將她那費解的嗓音，優雅的融合在一起，就像Linda Ronstadt那樣，可為歌手帶來滾滾的財源。
