Silent Eruption 樂團 成立於1969，原是英國的一支學校樂隊，成員均來自加勒比海地區，1974更名為Eruption ( 台譯：火山爆發 )，同年，Precious Wilson加入樂團，擔任合音歌手。 1975，Eruption擊敗了近400的競爭對手，贏得了由RCA唱片公司及Record Mirror雜誌合辦的RCA Soul Search 歌唱大賽，獲得了與RCA簽約及發行了第一首單曲《Let Me Take You Back in Time》。1976，由於主唱Lindel Leslie的離開，一時另找不到合適的人選，改由Precious Wilson來擔綱主唱。

1977，Eruption在德國巡演期間，被Boney M的星探發掘，推薦給製作人Frank Farian而促成了與德國Hansa唱片公司簽約，後不久，Eruption便在1977 Boney M的首次歐洲巡演中擔任伴唱和暖場嘉賓，從而獲得了更多觀眾的關注。此後期間，Eruption有數首歌曲打入歐洲國家的排行榜，其中包含翻唱Neil Sedaka的《One Way Ticket》，該時，應算是Eruption最成功的時期，直至1979年末 Precious Wilson離團單飛。

此首《Go Johnnie Go》為由製作人Frank Farian自己所寫的迪斯可歌曲，收錄於Eruption於1980發行的專輯《Fight Fight Fight》中，單曲的成績不錯，除了在德國排行榜進入前10名，也在歐洲大陸取得了顯著的成功。但令人悲痛的是，專輯發行才幾個月，年僅21歲的主唱Kim Davis卻因腦溢血突然過世，除了考驗著樂團重振的韌性，不巧的是又適逢迪斯可音樂的熱潮逐漸下降，Eruption終於在1985正式宣布解散。
