此曲為詞曲作家Norro Wilson和George Richey專門為鄉村歌手George Jones量身打造的歌曲，單曲於1972發行，在告示牌鄉村榜獲得第5名的佳績。

在近20年後的1991，正當此曲逐漸被歌迷們淡忘，女歌手Lorrie Morgan翻唱此曲，也獲得排行榜第9名，使得原本對此曲沒怎麼在意的Jones，也開始在舞台表演此曲，甚至還和Morgan合唱此曲 ( Morgan初出道時曾担任過Jones巡演時的合音歌手 )。

歌曲述說的是，當一些自然法則與現象反常或是不再出現，就會在合影的相片中看不見自己，這當然是一首悲傷懷念的歌曲。1989，Morgan意外失去才結婚三年也是歌手的夫婿Keith Whitley ( 才和他姊夫約好要去打高爾夫球，之後卻被發現躺在床上毫無動靜，經送醫急救無效，死因為急性乙醇中毒 / 血液中的酒精濃度為0.47，僅享年34歲。)，在好幾次的訪談中，Morgan也承認演唱此曲與其夫婿過世的事件有關。有了相關的情緒，才能較完美的詮釋歌曲。
