此曲為美國鄉村音樂團體Baillie & The Boys於1989自專輯《Turn the Tide》中所釋出的第3首單曲，在告示牌鄉村榜獲得第4名的佳績，也是該團體歷來所發行單曲中最好的成績。

Baillie & The Boys是一個三人組合的團體，吉他手Michael Bonagura和貝斯手Alan LeBoeuf原同在一個以紐澤西為活動基地的合唱團體「London Fog」。1973 ( or 1977？)，Michael Bonagura遇到了主唱Kathie Baillie，倆人開始合作在民謠俱樂部演出，並在同年結為夫妻。之後邀請Alan LeBoeuf加入，組成了一個名為Bittersweet  ( 苦樂參半 ) 的原聲流行三重奏團體，在東海岸的俱樂部巡迴演出。1982，Baillie因獲得了一些鄉村音樂的伴唱機會，與夫婿一起搬到了田納西州的納許維爾 ( Nashville )，隨後LeBoeuf也歸隊，經過一系列的現場演出，Bittersweet開始在Nashville嶄露頭角，也引起了RCA唱片公司的注意，並在1985與之簽約，樂隊也在該時更名為Baillie & The Boys。樂隊最風光的時期是1987—1991，連續有10首單曲進入鄉村排行榜前40名，雖然之後沒有單曲再入榜，Baillie & The Boys仍繼續巡演及錄製唱片直至2012。

看起來，這有點像是首單戀且得不到對方善意回應的哀怨情歌。感情這種事，有時真還勉強不來，但問題是，有些人就是愛享受被異性圍繞追捧的氛圍，而曖昧不明的態度，倘使得對方誤解，也可能會造成對自己的傷害。歌曲並未採一般情歌的慢節奏，而Baillie的聲音表現，也頗符合歌曲欲釋出的感傷情緒。

Alyssa Bonagura(Born 1988)為Billie與Bonagura的女兒，亦為歌手。2015—2021與英國歌手Rod Stewart的女兒Ruby Stewart合組雙人團體The Sisterhood。以下影音為與父母合唱。
