老歌亂談(1272)I Almost Called Your Name
此曲由Myra Smith和Margaret Lewis兩位女生所合寫，首由女歌手Margaret Whiting於1967錄唱發行，只獲得流行榜108名。之後又有多位男女歌手翻唱，唯成績不詳。

1974，墨裔美籍歌手Freddy Fender遇到了唱片製作人Huey P. Meaux，邀請他在已錄製好的音樂上錄唱，是一首之前至少有20幾人已翻唱過、而成績最好的僅33名的《Before the Next Teardrop Falls》，Freddy以雙語的方式完成該曲，單曲於1975年初發行，獲得告示牌流行榜及鄉村榜的雙料冠軍，實屬不易。而此首《I Almost Called Your Name》也收錄在該專輯中，唱法、編曲等也頗為雷同，想來並非是專輯中設定的主打歌曲，而未另發行單曲。
歌曲述說的是新交的女友太像舊愛，在要親密時差點叫成舊愛的名字，簡言之就是難忘舊情人。這種叫錯情人名字的情節似乎不時會出現在老外的影片中 ( 像是昏迷時 )，台長我是不太相信這麼容易會搞混，除非是女朋友太多或是喝酒醉了。
以下另貼同張專輯中由Freddy自己所寫，原於1959發行，亦於此次重新錄唱的《Wasted Days and Wasted Nights》，也在鄉村榜奪得冠軍，在流行榜則是第8名。
