此曲收錄在美國盲人鄉村歌手Ronnie Milsap於1980發行的專輯《Milsap Magic》中，單曲獲得告示牌鄉村榜的第一名，也是Milsap個人第13首的鄉村冠軍曲 ( Milsap共有35首冠軍曲，在歷來鄉村歌手中排名第4，僅次於George Strait、Conway Twitty、Merle Haggard。)

大學期間，Milsap參加當地一個節奏藍調樂隊，也有一些短暫的演出機會。1964，Milsap決意放棄大學獎學金成為一個專業的音樂人。1972，Milsap遇到了他的大貴人---大牌黑人鄉村歌手Charley Pride，Pride建議他調整方向專注在鄉村音樂，之後除了與Pride的經理一起工作，也簽進了RCA唱片公司。1973，出了一張專輯《Where My Heart Is》，其中兩首單曲打進排行榜分別獲得第10、11名。1974，與專輯《Pure Love》同名的單曲，拿下了鄉村榜的第1名，專輯中另首翻唱的《Please Don't Tell Me How The Story Ends》( 由Kris Kristofferson所寫，Bobby Bare於1971首錄發行 / #8 )，同樣的奪得冠軍，且在1975替Milsap贏得他第一座的「最佳鄉村男歌手」的葛萊美獎 ( 前後共贏得過6座 )。也開始隨Pride巡演作為暖場歌手。1976 – 1978，Milsap共有7首冠軍曲，終於成為炙手可熱的鄉村歌手。
