此首《Young Turks》是英國歌手Rod Stewart的鼓手及二位鍵盤手以電子合成器所創作的音樂，然後由Stewart自己寫詞及錄製，收錄在1981的專輯《Tonight I'm Yours》中，單曲在告示牌熱門100排行榜獲得第5名的佳績。

「Young Turks」這個詞源於20世紀初鄂圖曼帝國的民族主義改革派組織 ( 土耳其青年黨 )，而在英語的俚語，指的是「叛逆的青少年」，他們敢於反潮流。歌曲述說的是一對年輕男女Billy和Petti私奔的故事，結尾是billy寫信給Petti的父母，說Petti生了個十磅重的男嬰。有些歌友對他們接下來的狀況並不樂觀，自由揮霍青春是一回事，而有了孩子之後面對生活的挑戰更是無法迴避，倘不積極的工作為家庭打拼，只有「愛情」而沒有「麵包」，悲慘的下場 將即在眼前。歌詞中並未使用到Young Turks，僅有Young Heart be free Tonight。歌名有譯為「叛逆青春」或是「自由的心」。

台灣資深的歌友對此曲的旋律應尚為孰悉，1982，女歌手比莉將此曲翻唱為中文歌《青春陽光歡笑》。
