1965，美國鄉村男女歌手Bobby Bare和Skeeter Davis合出了一張專輯《Tunes for Two》，成績不差 ( 第8名)，其中倆人合唱的《A Dear John Letter》，成為了經典傳世的版本。此首《In The Misty Moonlight》，也包含在此專輯中。

Bobby Bare最為知名的歌曲是1963發行的《Detroit City》與《500 Miles Away From Home》，前者替他贏得了一座葛萊美獎 ，之後又被提名了4次，惜均落空。Skeeter Davis於1947出道，50年代晚期開始單飛，1963的一首The End of the World，雖只奪得排行榜的亞軍，卻開始在鄉村歌壇大放異彩。Skeeter很擅長的是以多重錄製方式、自己一個人唱多部合音；也很喜歡唱回答歌 ( 曲調不變，將歌詞改寫成對原曲的回應。 )，曾4次被提名葛萊美獎的年度最佳鄉村女歌手，但均槓龜。

此曲為也是鄉村歌手的Cindy Walker所創作，最早是由Jim Reeves錄唱，但卻在他1964因飛機失事的身後才發行。Dean Martin翻唱此曲並於1967作為單曲發行，在易聽排行榜獲得第一名，也是他5首冠軍曲的最後一首。此曲的翻唱者眾多，而包含Dean Martin在內，均採抒情的唱法，Bobby & Skeeter以輕快的方式來詮釋，也算是有些符合歌詞所想表達的，只要兩人能在一起，環境和財富這些都不重要了。
