此曲由寫歌者Don Robertson於1956首錄發行。同年，美國女子四重唱團體The Chordettes的版本獲得流行榜的第5名而成為了暢銷曲。1968，美國鄉村歌手Sonny James亦以此曲獲得鄉村榜的冠軍，也是他神奇的連續16首冠軍曲中的一首 ( 1967─1971 )。
其他的翻唱者：1973，英國歌手Dave Edmunds引用了名唱片製作人Phil Spector所謂「wall of sound」 ← ( 聽來聽去，大概就是有比較重的回音效果。)，拿下了英國排行榜的第5名。1975，美國歌手Dion DiMucci將此曲收錄並作為專輯的名稱 ( 妙了，Dion的版本還真的是Phil Spector製作。)。1978，美國鄉村女歌手Sandy Posey的版本在鄉村榜達到了第21名。加拿大女歌手Anne Murray也將此曲收錄在她1993的專輯《Croonin'》中 。
