HK004 Living in HK
Fourth day in Hong Kong.
Actually quite boring. Of course majority is because I don’t have a job and don’t have a goal, yet. Staying indoors all day long. Home, elevators, shuttle bus, MTR, escalators, elevators, office. Hardly being exposed to the sun. Very crowded wherever I go.
I haven’t found a thing that I like yet, but I don’t like the most that during lunch time there are people EVERYWHERE. No way to enjoy nice cheap food. (either take out and sitting in the office, or expensive luxury restaurant that’s never full.)
Don’t know many people so hardly talk. I am a pretty quiet person already but I talk even less here. Conversation with Chang probably accounts for 80% of my talking for a day. Talking to Taiwanese people would make me feel slightly better. Finally I understand why Claire prefer talking to people who speak Taiwan-style Mandarin.
I know this is just temporary. I know things will change. I hope this day will come soon.

Wei,
look what i started... you’re getting messages left and right now... what a popular girl...
I totally can understand what you are talking about. It is bored when you are in an extremly busy city with few friends and without a job. You can go to Victoria Harbor to have a walk. It’s the only place I think it’s not damn crowded. Just as you say....everything will change and you will get used to it. If you need anything from Taiwan or any help, feel free to send me an email!!! Best of Luck!
Boys and girls... I need to clarify one thing... I still come to office EVERYDAY here in Hong Kong (at 7:45am!). Before finalizing the job offer, I’m still working under Taipei office... poor me. :p
