夜深，只有一個人還沒有睡。不是沒有打算去休息，而是怎樣也睡不著。躺臥在床上，細聽著從MP3機透過耳機傳來的歌曲。起初是Joe Cocker的"You are so beautiful"，然後是James Blunt的"You’re beautiful"，再來是Judy Collins的"Send in the Clowns"，接著是什麼，我已經不記得了，直到那首歌。

Maria Callas的"La Mamma Morta" (from Act III of the Italian opera, Andrea Chénier by Umberto Giordano)。

歌詞是意大利文，根本不知道她在唱什麼。可以心情卻跟著歌者的歌聲而起伏，不知不覺，不知不覺，沒有預兆的，靜靜地流起淚來。眼淚不斷地湧出來，除了覺得傷感，還想起了多年前聽到這首歌時，也是止不住哭泣。’Philadelphia’ — 飾演染上AIDS的主角Tom Hanks，聽著這一曲，傷心得難以形容。不知是他在旋轉，還是鏡頭在旋轉，我的心也深深地陷入了那個境況，除了哭，我也不知道自己可以做什麼。
