the teacher with eye contact
These days I have been teaching as an English substitute.
Though I felt drained out after fighting with those noisy boys, some sort of satisfication went through my mind.
What I want to say is, you can never know how much you can act as a teacher until you are really acting as a teacher--a teacher, indeed.
Today, while I was standing on the podium, I tried to figure out the way I stand, move, talk, and even look like.
Much like the way students would behave to make themselves ”look like.”
Well, I was told that students would see through the teacher’s mind by detecting the teacher’s eye contact.
(You need to confront their eyes face to face and see who keeps longer!)
So, I am practicing to look directly into their eyes--even to the extent of randomly looking at their eyes.
No wonder I felt so tired easily since I dried out so much of my efforts in my practice. = =

let`s try to list some kinds of eye contact
1. between lovers - its meaning depends on situation, for example: girl says give me more, boy says it is all over
2.TV and remote controller - come on, show me something different
3. left eye and right eye - just try to be cockeye, but never look at each other in reality (ok, maybe きたろう and his father can do that)
4. police and thief - you jump, i jump
5. Turn Left Turn Right - let`s be together in movie theater only
